Parts of the HAK

A Hydrant Assist Kit is a yard hydrant encasement system which, once installed, allows a hydrant to be repaired or replaced from the surface—no need for digging or excavating. There is a HAK available to fit any yard hydrant manufactured.

HAK 750

HAK 750
  • HAK 750 fits any standard hydrant with a 3/4" female pipe thread and a 1" stand pipe.
  • A 750 will fit these models:
    • Woodford: Y34, W34, X34, R34
    • Merril: Anyflow 3/4" or Anyflow Brass 3/4", C-1000 and C1000 Brass, M-2000, E-5000, CNL-1000, Y1 & Y2
    • Campbell
    • Simmons
    • This size will most likely fit any hydrant bought at a hardware store, as well as hydrants that are manufactured in other countries.
  • Because there is a 1" inlet hole on every model, it can supply 30 gpm even with a 3/4" outlet hole. The brass coupler comes with a 1" female thread and finishes with a 3/4" male thread for the hydrant or waterline.
  • The HAK 750 is heat tape compatible with both Frost Tek and Easy Heat systems.
  • The HAK 750 shares all the features of the other Hydrant Assist Kits.

HAK 1000

HAK 1000
  • HAK 1000 fits any standard hydrant with a 1" female pipe thread, except Monitor hydrants.
  • A 1000 will fit these models:
    • Merril Anyflow Hi-Cap 1"
    • Simmons
    • This model may fit hydrants that are available at hardware stores or are manufactured in other countries.
  • The HAK 1000 is heat tape compatible with both Frost Tek and Easy Heat systems.
  • The HAK 1000 shares all the features of the other Hydrant Assist Kits.

HAK 1000M

HAK 1000M
  • The HAK 1000 fits Monitor hydrants with a 1" female pipe thread.
  • The 1000M is exclusively for Monitor hydrants only due to the unique design of the riser pipe on the Monitor hydrant system.
  • The HAK 1000M is heat tape compatible with both Frost Tek and Easy Heat systems.
  • The HAK 1000M shares all the features of the other Hydrant Assist Kits but will only work with Monitor hydrants.

HAK 1000R

HAK 1000R
  • The HAK 1000R is designed for use with Ritchie Fountains, and also works on Ritchie Hydrants (which have been discontinued). It will also work with these models of hydrants:
    • Merrill: C-1000 Hi-Cap, R6000
    • Ritchie
  • The HAK 1000R is compatible with any livestock watering system. It is also ideal for use with mobile homes, and design homes without basements.
  • The HAK 1000R is heat tape compatible with both Frost Tek and Easy Heat systems.
  • The HAK 1000R shares all the features of the other Hydrant Assist Kits.

HAK 1000W

HAK 1000W
  • The HAK 1000W fits Woodford model Y1 hydrant.
  • The 1000W is exclusively for Woodford commercial hydrants due to the large brass drainback valve on the bottom of the Woodford hydrant system.
  • The HAK 1000W is the only HAK kit using a 4" PVC riser pipe.
  • The HAK 1000W is heat tape compatible with both Frost Tek and Easy Heat systems.
  • The HAK 1000W shares all the featured of the other Hydrant Assist Kits but will only work with Woodford model Y1 Hydrants.
