Appearance & Features
The Monitor hydrant boasts many features that help separate itself from the competition. The first being the combination of materials that make up the hydrant’s head. The head has a cast iron collar, with stainless steel hex screws and a handle made of ductile iron. Another feature that helps the hydrant stand out is the unorthodox position of the hydrants lever. In contrast to many hydrants, Monitor’s lever is located on the top of the hydrant for easy access, in comparison to behind the spout like many other hydrant brands. Finally, to help prevent leaks and freezes, the Monitor hydrant has no packing nut or valve rod. Overall, the Monitor hydrant has many features that help it provide exceptional service and reliability, even in the toughest of conditions!
