A Hydrant Assist Kit (HAK) is a frost-free water hydrant encasement system, which, once installed, allows a hydrant to be repaired or replaced from the surface—no need for digging or excavating. The HAK works with any waterline type or size, and at any depth! The HAK provides easy hydrant replacement in difficult areas, and can be easily maintained in a wide variety of applications. And there’s a HAK available to fit any water hydrant manufactured!

HAK 750

HAK 750 Seppmann Enterprises
  • A HAK 750 fits any standard yard hydrant with a 3/4″ female pipe thread and a 1″ stand pipe.
  • The HAK 750 is the most common model for frost free hydrants bought at hardware/retail stores, as well as frost proof hydrants that are manufactured in other countries.
  • There is a 1″ inlet hole on every model, so it can supply 30 gpm even with a 3/4″ outlet hole. The brass coupler has a 1″ female thread and finishes with a 3/4″ male thread.
  • Like all models of HAK, the 750 is heat tape compatible with both Frost Tek and Easy Heat systems.

HAK 1000

HAK 1000 Seppmann Enterprises
  • A HAK 1000 fits any standard water hydrant with a 1″ female pipe thread and a 1 1/4” stand pipe, except Monitor hydrants (see HAK 1000M for Monitor hydrants).
  • This model fits some larger or commercial frost free hydrants that are available at hardware stores or are manufactured in other countries.
  • Like all models of HAK, the 1000 is heat tape compatible with both Frost Tek and Easy Heat systems.

HAK 1000M Seppmann Enterprises
  • A HAK 1000M is exclusively for Monitor Magnum hydrants due to the unique design of the stand pipe on the Monitor Magnum hydrant system. A Monitor hydrant has a 1” female thread.
  • Like all models of HAK, the 1000M is heat tape compatible with both Frost Tek and Easy Heat systems.

  • A HAK 1000R is designed for use with Ritchie Water Fountains, (and Ritchie Hydrants which have been discontinued).
  • The HAK 1000R is compatible with any livestock watering system. It is also ideal for use with mobile homes, and pre-fab homes without basements.

HAK 1000W

HAK 1000W Seppmann Enterprises
  • A HAK 1000W is specifically diesigned to accommodate the large drainback on Woodford Y1 and Y2 Model Hydrants
  • The HAK 1000W is the only HAK kit which requires a 4″ PVC riser pipe.
